Anouk - Victory Patterns - Paper Sewing Pattern

Anouk is a loose fitting, medium length dress or tunic with optional ties that form a bow at the back for a light fit. Front and back pintucks extend from a fitted yoke with button detailing, which leads into a decorative front placket. Use striped fabric to create a chevron pattern or play around with a decorative print. Add optional three-quarter length bishop sleeves that gather into a buttoned cuff.
Lengthening/shortening instructions and fabric cutting diagrams are included along with a list of everything you'll need to make this garment.

Toaster Sweaters - Sew House Seven - Paper Sewing Pattern

The Toaster Sweaters consist of two different high neck top designs to keep you toasty warm and stylish in the cooler months. They are both very simple to sew and perfect for sewists of all levels who want to try their hand at sewing knits. These sweaters are designed to be constructed using knit fabric with at least 20 percent stretch around the width of the body.
Sweater 1 is a closer fitting, semi cropped sweatshirt or sweater. It works best when sewn in thick, stiff knits with some body to keep the neck standing upright. It features raglan sleeves, a wide waistband, a loose turtleneck, long cuffs and falls between the high and low hip. It’s great in a standard sweatshirt fleece with stretch however, it’s also extremely handsome in a sweater knit to dress it up a bit.
Sweater 2 is an easy top or sweater that can be dressed up or down. It is somewhat fitted through the shoulders and sleeves and then swings out a bit at the underarms and hem. It features a semi high neck that takes its inspiration from funnel and boat necks. It also has side vents with a hi low hem. The front hem falls just below the high hip. Sew it in a boiled wool knit, a wool jersey or ponte for a more dressed up look. Sew it in a sweatshirt fleece with stretch or jersey knit for a more casual look.

Lichen Duster - Sew Liberated - Paper Sewing Pattern

The versatile Lichen Duster can be worn as a lightweight coat, wrap dress, or robe - a true capsule wardrobe workhorse! Its shawl collar, princess seams, unique pockets, four skirt gores and hand-stitched facings make it a beautiful heirloom piece. Style it over dresses and jumpsuits, or jeans and tees. Use your own belt or wrap the included fabric belt around your waist, tucking in the ends, for a chic morning-to-evening dress. The Lichen can be made with a sweeping high-low hem or a straight hem.
Depending on the fabric you choose, the Lichen Duster can be worn in cold or warm weather. It is unlined, constructed with front and back facings of the same fabric. We recommend mid-weight linen or yarn-dyed cotton for all-season wear. More advanced sewists can branch out and choose mid-weight wool or even silk or silk velvet.
The pattern includes sizes 0-30.
Level: Intermediate (If someone has sewn the Hinterland Dress, they should be equipped to sew the Lichen. The pattern will help you practice many skills, including shawl collar construction, princess seams, French seams, facings, and hand finishing. And we have a detailed Sew-Along to help your customers along!)

The Waterfall Tank is a simple, yet stunning tank that can be worn beautifully by itself or layered for a more modest look. It will quickly become your go-to pattern for the hot, summer season and will transition perfectly into fall! Make it in a lightweight quilting cotton, chambray, or linen for a casual look or spruce it up with a gorgeous silk or voile for a more fancy schmacy appearance. The possibilities are really endless with this loose-fitting, yet elegant tank. You can even sew this beauty with a knit (sizing down one size for this option is suggested)! For the straps, you have two options: tie or fitted. The choice is totally yours!
RECOMMENDED FABRIC: Light-medium weight quilting cotton, voile, lawn, double gauze, etc. This top will sew beautifully in anything!

Can I return an item?
Yes, you can return items in their original condition within 7 days of receipt for a full refund. Please contact us before sending any returns.
Are there items that cannot be returned?
Yes, we cannot accept returns on:

How do I initiate a return?
Email us at hello@purple-stitches.com with your order details. Make sure the items are unused and in original packaging.
We recommend using a tracked service, as we can’t be responsible for returns lost in the post.
🧵 Fabric Sizes & Cutting
How are fabrics sold?
You can choose the length you need when ordering.

For quilting cotton, a quarter metre can be cut as a Fat Quarter or a Long Quarter

For dressmaking fabrics, a quarter metre will be cut as a Long Quarter
Fabric measurement guide:

ONE Fat Quarter = approx. 50cm x 55cm

ONE Long Quarter = approx. 25cm x width of fabric

ONE Half metre = approx. 50cm x width of fabric

ONE 0.75 metre = approx. 75cm x width of fabric
-
ONE 1 metre = approx. 100cm x width of fabric
Can I get fabric in a continuous length?
Yes! Unless otherwise stated, all multiple units will be cut and sent in one continuous piece.
What is a Fat Quarter?
A Fat Quarter is a quarter metre of fabric cut to approximately 50cm x 55cm—wider and shorter than a standard long strip. It’s great for quilting and smaller craft projects.

Are retreat payments refundable?
Retreat payments are non-refundable. However, you can transfer your place to someone else — just let us know their details.
What if Purple Stitches cancels the retreat?
You’ll receive a full refund if we cancel the event.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes — we strongly recommend that all retreat participants take out travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.
